Arts & Crafts at WILDE Adventure Summer Camp
Make art the wild way — with leaves, paint, and your own two hands.
Arts & Crafts at WILDE turns the outdoors into your studio. You'll gather real bits of the land — leaves, bark, seed pods — and turn them into art that's all your own. Slow down, get your hands messy, and make something only you could make.
A day on it
Some days you head out first to collect your materials — a flat leaf with good veins, a curl of bark, a smooth pebble, a feather you spotted on the trail. Then it's back to the table, where the paint comes out and the real fun starts. You'll press leaves into prints, weave with grasses and string, and mix colours until you land on exactly the one in your head. There's no single right answer here. Just your idea, your materials, and time to make it real.
The best part is the quiet kind of focus that sneaks up on you — the world goes a little slow while your hands stay busy. You'll notice things you walked right past before: the shape of a maple leaf, the way bark feels rough then smooth. By the end you've got something to carry home that started as a walk in the woods. That's WILDE art: made from the land, made by you.

Safety, handled
- All art materials are non-toxic and chosen to be age-appropriate for every camper.
- Campers work in small groups with a trained instructor guiding each session.
- Tools and supplies are matched to each child's age and shown with a quick how-to before use.
- When materials are gathered outdoors, instructors supervise and point out what's safe to collect.
- Hands are washed after every session, and any allergies or sensitivities are noted in advance.
What to bring
Clothes that are okay to get a little paint or dirt on, and a water bottle. Everything else — paints, paper, natural materials, and tools — is provided. Finished pieces come home at the end of the session.
