Creek Walks

Where curiosity meets cool water, the creek becomes a living classroom for adventure, discovery, and wild summer joy.

The lowdown

Step into the creek near Kimbercote, where cool water rushes over your feet and every rock hides something alive. Campers wade in to splash, cool off, and hunt for crayfish and water bugs in supervised pools. It's a favourite part of the week — part swim, part expedition, part wild discovery.

Your adventure

A day on it

Our creek walks are a favourite part of the week. Campers visit the beautiful creek near Kimbercote multiple times to explore, cool off, and enjoy a refreshing change of scenery. Tucked into nature, this special spot becomes a place for discovery — campers wade through the water, observe aquatic ecosystems, identify native plants, and search for small creatures living along the banks.

Creek time blends adventure and learning, from splashing and swimming in supervised areas to slowing down and noticing the details of the natural world. It's a simple, joyful way to connect with nature, beat the heat, and experience the wild spaces that make WILDE Camp so unique.
